When I think about decay, I think about old things that, due to age, are rotting and if it's metal rusting. Over time, everything on earth will age and decay. In Mark 13, Jesus told us that "my words (scripture)" will not pass away. The Bible does not fade, and it will not change. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

John 1 tells us that Jesus was "the Word." He was in the beginning and has been for eternity. The Scripture (His word) will last forever.
